Hey, guys, this is Taylor here. Today, I wanted to talk to you about this rake. This is just something that you can get at any hardware store, Lowe’s or Home Depot or Ace. What this is is this is a thatch rake. What this does is it helps get any of that dead, loose grass blades out of the grass to allow water and fertilizer to penetrate through a little bit more. I’m going to do a quick, little demonstration on a two by two foot area here. Really, what you do is you just pull this rake through just as if you were combing someone’s hair. Then, as you can see, you just get a ton of just dead, loose grass out of there. Then, we’ll do one more pass through like this, and then as you can see, when you’re done, you can just get a normal rake and go through and get that cleaned up, but as you can see in this little, teeny area, you just get a ton and ton of dead grass out, and that’s something that we recommend.

If you have any problem areas, this thatch rake will do great, but if your whole yard’s struggling, you can pretty much comb through and get any of that grass out, we recommend just getting a power rake. It’s a machine that does it. It’s not as labor-intensive, and, quite frankly, it’s just easier and faster. If you have any questions, give us a call. Thanks. Bye.
